Public Buses

With the cheap price and availability, taking public buses is another excellent option for many visitors. However, some passengers might hesitate to choose the bus because sometimes it is too crowded and not convenient for those with big rucksack over their shoulder.

   Stops: Terminal 1- Terminal 2 - VAECO Company - Au Co - Lac Long Quan (523 Au Co str) - Xuan Dieu stop - bus stop at intersection Yen Phu - Cua Bac - Long Bien Transpoint station - 142 Tran Quang Khai - Hanoi Opera House - Hanoi Melia Hotel - Hanoi Train Station.

Fares:  These buses ticket only cost 9,000 VND. Bus 86 is an exception since its price is 35,000/pax (1.5 USD)

Taxi

When traveling with a group of at least 3 persons, there is nothing more wonderful than taking a taxi since you will hardly save any money by taking a bus. However, after getting out of the arrivals exit gate, don’t rush to the invitation of any taxi drivers. Making sure that you downloaded car - hailing apps like Grab, Bee on your phone, you can select a proper pickup and drop-off point without communication issues (not include the two-way gate fare of 30,000 VND to 1.5 USD).

Please keep in mind that you need to ask for price in advance and require to pay for a pack from the airport to your hotel. Working meters cost about 10,000 VND to 15,000 VND for the first two kilometers, then about VND 8,000 per succeeding kilometer so the present price for a pick up from Noi Bai airport to the centre of Hanoi is about 330.000 VND (15.5 USD) (including airport gate fare).
